About Melanie Karpman, PA-C
Melanie Karpman is a nationally certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. She provides care for patients of all ages and a wide range of skin conditions at our Munster location.
Melanie received her undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition and Spanish from the University of Kentucky, graduating summa cum laude. She then earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rush University, where she wrote her master’s proposal on “The Efficacy of Topical Vitamin C as Maintenance Therapy for Moderate to Severe Melasma.” Melanie completed a dermatology fellowship through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), in addition to extensive training from Dermio physicians and PAs.
She began her career by providing primary care to the Latino population in Chicago and is passionate about delivering high-quality, bilingual dermatologic care. She is fluent in Spanish.
Melanie also performs a wide variety of cosmetic procedures, including neurotoxin injections, PRP, and VBeam laser treatments.
She takes a personalized approach to each patient’s care and looks forward to seeing you at our Munster location!
